The off-grid system was just one of the projects that has been underway at the cabin. Since I first visited the land on July 8, 2007, and the purchase two months later, we have been busy:
- the old camp was demolished as well as several smaller structures
- food plots were established
- old trails were cleared, tilled, and planted in clover
- two new elevated archery/gun convertible deer stands were constructed
- land was cleared on the ridge for the current cabin and garage
- a pond was dug at the bottom of the ridge
- and various projects inside the cabin have been undertaken
