When choosing the inverter there were several criteria that needed to be met:
- true sine wave AC output for electronic devices
- remote display panel for the cabin (inverter mounted in garage)
- temperature compensated charging (the garage varies from 30-80°F throughout the year)
- low energy use when idle
- at least 2000 watt peak output to run the well pump and microwave
